Custom-made as an extension of vision
A standard brick was not chosen for this project. Together with Nano Architects, Joseph Bricks developed a facing brick that perfectly matched the architectural vision: Haroon, a custom-made colour.
At Joseph Bricks, the story does not end with the collection. When a project requires it, we develop a customised brick in terms of colour, nuance and technical properties.
When standard is not enough
Haroon was designed as a connecting element between interior and exterior. Not a bold statement, but a warm, nuanced brick that brings tranquillity to the façade and makes the volume horizontally legible. Up close, Haroon reveals a refined texture; from a distance, the façade reads as a single coherent whole.
The colour was deliberately developed to radiate warmth while remaining timeless, in keeping with the materials used inside the home.
Tested, refined and confirmed
An essential part of the process was working with full-scale samples and panels. Various joint finishes were tested in order to correctly assess their effect on the façade.
‘By testing in advance, the end result was not a gamble but a conscious choice.’
Custom made at Joseph Bricks
Haroon demonstrates what Joseph Bricks stands for: thinking along, developing and guiding, from the first sketch to the construction site. The architect and client could count on short lines of communication, quick feedback and technical support where necessary.
The brick is hard-fired and has low porosity. This means there is minimal risk of greening, discolouration or efflorescence, ensuring that the façade retains its appearance in the long term.
Haroon is no coincidence.
It is the result of dialogue, trust and customisation. Do you have a project for which the right brick does not yet exist? Would you like to develop a colour that perfectly matches your architectural vision? That is possible. Feel free to contact Joseph Bricks, we are happy to think along with you.
